The opening for the Fiber show at the gallery is this Friday April 1 from 5 - 8. The show runs from April 1-30. A closing reception is schedules from 1-5 on April 30. The show features the work of 6 fiber artists from York and Lancaster Counties.: Ann Booth, tapestries; Phyllis Koster, weavings: Sylvia Lehman, contemporary baskets: Sue Reno, quilts: Deb Roberson, miniature baskets: Vivian Narehood, contemporary wall hangings. This is a beautiful show highlighting some of the best masters (or should I say "mistresses") of fiber in the region.

The drawings of York County Able Printers will be on exhibit from March 5 –12, 2011.

An opening reception is scheduled for March 5 from 1-5 p.m. The opening is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. The Able Printers team will be on hand to answer any questions.
York County Able Printers is a non-profit organization that empowers challenged young adults in screen printing, art, marketing and communication. Able Printers work together as an independent team to create products for their clients in the community through the skills they have proudly learned here at the organization. Their drawings are charming and whimsical. Their promotional products, such as t-shirts and mugs using these images, will be on hand as well as prints.

EASTERN YORK HIGH SCHOOL ART STUDENT EXHIBIT

A group art exhibit by Eastern York High School Seniors will be on display at our gallery from January 14 - January 30, 2011.

Opening receptions will be held on January 14 from 6-8 pm and on Saturday, January 15 from 2-4 pm. All openings are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

This is the third annual exhibit by the Eastern York seniors at Weavings, Ink. It is sure to be as beautiful as the last two. Please come and support our young artists!

Regular gallery hours are from 1-5 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Weavings, Ink will be closed the month of February. See you in March!

“Chasing Shadows”, the third art exhibit by The Inkmen, five local pen and ink artists who exhibit together, will be shown at the “Weavings, Ink.” art gallery at 208 Hellam Street (a.k.a. Rt.462), Wrightsville, York County, PA from October 1 – November 13, 2010.

This exhibit will include the work of:
Dave Hanemen, Marietta
Robert Hammer, Wrightsville
Robert Oughton, Hellam Township
Charles Long, York
Dale Weibley, Columbia

An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, October 1 from 5-8 p.m. A reception will also be held on October 22 from 5-8 p.m. to coincide with Columbia’s Fourth Friday celebration. Both are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
It is unusual to find five pen and ink artists of this caliber in such a small geographical area. When they all met at an outdoor art festival in 2008, they were inspired to exhibit together for the first time in October 2008 at Weavings, Ink. in Wrightsville. “The Inkmen II : It’s Red Hot” took place at the Jonal Gallery in Columbia in February of 2009 and was very well received. Although their styles are unique, the group inspires, enjoys and learns from each other.

SECOND ANNIVERSARY EXHIBIT

Please join us on July 30, 2010 from 5-8 pm to celebrate our second anniversary at Weavings, Ink. We will be exhibiting our new work and enjoying refreshments with friends and patrons.

We will also have receptions on the Fourth Fridays of July 23 and August 27 in conjunction with Columbia's celebrations.

The show runs through September 25.

“April Showers…”, an art exhibit about and for flowers in various media will be shown at the Weavings, Ink., art gallery at 208 Hellam Street(a.k.a. Rt.462), Wrightsville, York County, PA from March 26 – May 8, 2010.

This exhibit will include the work of:

There will be a special guitar performance by Mark Wesling at the March 26 opening reception.

The opening reception is scheduled for March 26 from 5-8 p.m. A second reception will be held on April 26 from 5-8 p.m. Both are open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

"Leaf Fall" was created in response to the changing of the seasons here in South Central Pennsylvania. Living near the Susquehanna River, I often use the image of the river as a backdrop. Movement and color are what interest me and this piece demonstates both of these things, I think.

THE PA ARTS EXPERIENCE ARTISTS' TRAIL

Phyllis Koster and Robert Oughton (owners of Weavings, Ink. Art Gallery) will be exhibiting their art in the Works of Trail Artists of the Susquehanna Valley exhibit to be held at the York College Galleries from January 22- February 28, 2009. An exhibit by Bill Simone of studio portraits of selected artists of the trail will run concurrently with the show of work by artists.

The opening reception will be on Thursday, January 22 from 5-8 pm.

A curator's lecture by Rob Evans will be on Wednesday, January 28 at 7 pm in Recital Hall, Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall at York College.
